In essence, it can be triggered by a number of factors, including:
- Smoking.
- A penchant for strongly scented foods such as garlic, onions, and cheese; and drinks such as coffee.
- Poor oral hygiene – A failure to brush teeth regularly or in between meals.
- Stomach or nasal issues or illnesses.
The good news is that in most cases, the symptoms of the problem are treatable since regular and proper brushing and flossing of the teeth are usually enough to eradicate the signs. However, if it persists, then you may need tooth decay treatment as problem teeth or gums can also cause bad breath issues.
